Obama Ignores Terror Threat At His Own Peril

Sometimes a president does not get to set his own agenda and this fact is hitting Obama head on. Obama and those around him would rather talk about health care and cap and trade, while putting terrorism on the back burner. Why does Obama refuse to step up to the plate on the terrorist issue? What could be his motive for pushing it to the back burner? Is there something that we are missing? Questions need to be asked and answers given and until that time we can only speculate about his reasons.

Does Obama think that Islamic terrorist pose a threat to America? I think not! There is nothing in the history of the man, absolutely nothing to indicate he sees a terrorist threat. In fact when one looks at his history, one could easily conclude that he has a soft spot in his heart for Islam(based on his family background), and one could just as easily conclude that he views terrorist as freedom fighters in an ongoing revolution that will establish a new order. One could go a step further and say that many of Obama's actions or lack of action give aid and comfort to Islamic terrorist. Sure we are engaged in wars in Iraq and Afghanistan against those radicals, but those are conflicts left over by the Bush administration and ones, that Obama dares not abandon, at this time. He will, however cut the funding and cut the troop numbers requested by his generals while giving lip service our military efforts. In conclusion Obama by not giving the terrorist the back of his hand has in effect extended a hand to radical Islam and other enemies of America. They see Obama as weak and indecisive and therefore an America open to attack.

Communism is gone but Islamic radicalism and jihadism are with us. President Obama will have to find an effective way to deal with this new threat or the American people will find someone else who can.

In the wake of “11/5,” the attack at Fort Hood, Barack Obama faces a tough choice--like it or not.

The 44th president must choose to confront an unpleasant reality, head on--or else it will run him over. The issue is the threat of terrorist violence, here on the homefront.

Terrorism, and the debate over how to respond to terrorism, was the defining issue of the 43rd presidency. And now it’s apparent that Obama, too, will spend the bulk of his presidency confronting terror, from Afghanistan to new battlezones, such as central Texas.

Obama and fellow Democrats would rather, of course, talk about health care. But over the next few years, the Fort Hood shooting is going to be a bigger story, since it is connected to our relations, good and bad, with the entire Islamic world, including nuclear Pakistan and almost- nuclear Iran.

For his sake, and for ours, Obama needs to understand that sometimes even presidents don’t get to decide the agenda -- the agenda is decided for him. In such a situation, the question is whether or not the president can adapt to the new era and its new challenges.

So this president needs to launch an aggressive investigation, digging into every aspect of Thursday’s shooting rampage that left 13 dead and dozens injured. How did it happen? Who bears responsibility? And, most importantly, what must we change now? Otherwise, if Obama simply talks about health care and “cap-and-trade” and “don’t ask, don’t tell” and all the other staples of his 2008 agenda, he will be left in the dust by the cyclonic events of 2009 and beyond. And in the wake of the 11/5 shootings, his presidency could be blown away by a whirlwind of damaging leaks, embarrasing reports, and well-justified fears.

Obama will always have his base of support, of course, especially in the media. Taking their cues, as ever, from the siren song of secular liberalism, the Mainstream Media would rather talk about health care, with an occasional digression into gay marriage. The Second Shooter at Ft. Hood: Extreme Political Correctness

The carpet is being pulled back and the ugly truth exposed and a second shooter is now revealed and his name is "Extreme Political Correctness". Nidal Malik Hasan, an officer in the Army Medical Corp, did not act alone, but was aided in his murderous rampage by another. One just as dangerous as Islamic terrorism, one placed in the mist of our troops by the Bush administration and promoted to the rank of General-of-Armies under the Obama administration, one that has forced loyal American soldiers to look the other way when hearing threatening remarks from their Muslim counterparts for fear of being branded racist and haters and drummed out of the service. This enemy from within is protected by the joint chiefs and senior military officers who fear the wrath of an out-of-control White House should they dare oppose or reveal the existence of this extremist. Some are coming forward now to tell their stories as the shock and disgust of the events at Fort Hood unfold. The politically correct thing to do, as it turns out, was not the thing to do and the generals are now rushing to cover their asses while those at the very top are preparing to "pass-the-buck" should the spotlight fall on them. As more and more come forward the picture of this co-conspirator will become clearer and he will face trial along side Nidal Malik Hasan and the American people will be his jury. A jury that will show little mercy and in the end will sentence him to death despite the pleas of those in power.

Radical Muslim Hails Ft. Hood Massacre

In someways America seems to becoming a breeding ground for Islamic radicals. With the shooting of an American soldier in Little Rock just as few months ago and now the shootings at Fort Hood being just two examples of whats becoming a larger problems. A New York City cabbie is now openly promoting radical Islam on the Internet and using his second amendment rights to spew his hate. An amendment that his kind would immediately repeal if they had their way. Yousef al-Khattabe, a former Jew who has converted to Islam sent an email to Nidal Malik Hasan claiming the soldiers killed in the massacre deserved what they got and are now in an eternal hellfire. Our Constitution does guarantee freedom of speech and we in the blogging community will fight for that right to always be upheld as we value all our precious freedoms. And although I deplore the words of Yousef al-Khattab under of Constitution he has the right to say them. But I would urge authorities to keep a close eye on this radical and on those who visit his site. For now he is within his rights, but he is pushing those rights to the edges and should he cross the line the government should step in. Islamic radicalism must be restrained and defeated where every it raises it ugly head. We are in a state of war against these people and wartime measures should be imposed. If some way to constitutionally restrict the efforts of those such as Yousef al-Khattable can be found I will support those measures. One additional note on cases such as this, if we were officially at war, in other words a declared war then under the Constitution the President as command-in-chief could take extreme measures and people such as Yousef could be detained and prevented from what is clearly giving "aid and comfort" to the enemy. Sadly our current president would never take such measures. We all know where this weak, Muslim-lover , son and grandson of probable Kenyan Mau Mau terrorist stands. Most do not know or will not admit he has his roots in a nation born from terrorism. Terrorism that directed its attacks not at grown men, but rather at women and children in the dead of night, hacking their victim's to death with machetes as they blew whistles hanging from their necks. This is the beastly revolution that is Obama's heritage and not the American Revolution. Does he hate Islamic terrorist, I think not. He merely sees them as so kind of freedom fighters. And like all good socialist the "end always justifies the means". In other words anything goes!!!!



A New York City bicycle cabbie who mocked the murder of American journalist Daniel Pearl and posted a prayer on the Web calling for the murder of Jews is now sending a "Get Well Soon" message to the suspected Fort Hood gunman, the New York Post reported.

Yousef al-Khattab, 41, a radical Muslim in the borough of Queens who runs RevolutionMuslim.com, claims on the site that the soldiers massacred at the Texas base deserved to be massacred, and he insists the victims are in "eternal hellfire." As for the suspected gunman — Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan — Al-Khattab hails him as a hero.

"An officer and a gentleman was injured while partaking in a pre-emptive attack," al-Khattab wrote on the site. "Get well soon Major Nidal. We love you."

Al-Khattab, a Jewish-born New Jersey native formerly named Joseph Cohen, converted to Islam in 2004. Known by the FBI for posting radical messages online, al-Khattab claims that the 13 murdered and 38 wounded soldiers at Fort Hood were "terrorists" who deserved to die.

"These people are soldiers in a volunteer army," al-Khattab told the Post. "They expect to see combat. They know the danger."

"Rest assured the slain terrorists at Ft. Hood are in the eternal hellfire," al-Khattab writes online.

On Oct. 7, al-Khattab posted a message on the Web calling on Allah to carry out "wrath on the Jewish occupiers of Palestine & their supporters."

Al Khattab insists that his hatred is protected by the First Amendment. "If it was a threat, I'd be in jail," the 41-year-old al-Khattab told FoxNews.com in October.

Hasan — a radical Muslim — reportedly shouted "Allahu akbar," or "God is great" in Arabic, before unloading more than 100 rounds at soldiers preparing to ship off to Iraq and Afghanistan. read more

Liberals and Islamic Terrorist

Are liberals more tolerant than conservatives on the issue of radical Islam or do they go through life with blinders on when it comes to this issue. Its seems that the recent shootings at Fort Hood have again brought this division between the right and left into focus again with liberals looking for deep psychological explanations and conservatives looking at the radical religious angle. I do have one question, had the shooter in this case been someone in a not so mainstream Christian church would the left be so tolerant of that religion and seek to point the finger elsewhere as they have in this case. I feel safe in saying that would not! The left has little tolerance of Christians, but an abundance of tolerance toward other religious groups. Could it possibly be that Christians do not fit in the so-called big tent of the progressive movement while most all other religious groups do.
I can see no other explanation for the willingness of those on the left to accept the acts of radical Islam as being motivated by deep psychological problems and not religious values. When one stops to thinks about it this explains the little support they show for the war in Afghanistan. They seen to see only a few mentally disturbed individuals as the problem there and not some type of religious fanaticism in the general population. This kind of thinking would led me to believe they would prefer a small army of psychiatrists to be deployed instead of our regular armed forces, possibilly some like Malix Nadal Hasan who has proven he can relate to their radical values. The big tent politically correct values of the liberals is getting them into trouble, for in trying to be all things to all people they are quickly becoming nothing to most. This is best shown by their weak stance on the Fort Hood shootings.

Ft. Hood: The Largest Terrorist Attack Since 9/11?

The following is an opinion piece by Walid Phares from FOX. It is a worthwhile read and expresses many thoughts I agree with about the recent attack at Fort Hood. The radicalization of Malik Nadal Hasan is the subject of the article. Did this terrorist have connections to foreign terrorist organizations I for one doubt that, but the teaching of Islam led him to his destructive path at Fort Hood and not the occasional acts of religious intolerance he claimed to have suffered. Those and his recent orders for deployment to Afghanistan may have been the trigger that caused him to act at this time, but the overriding factor has to be his belief in radical Islam and its teachings and his obvious dislike of the American military and the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. There is no doubt this terrorist is a radical Islamist who killed Americans while screaming Allah Akbar!!!

The main question we should be asking is when did Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan become radicalized and who indoctrinated him? Everything else will fall in place once we have these answers.

The Fort Hood killings, perpetrated by Major Malik Nadal Hasan a psychiatrist by training, no matter what the judiciary reports conclude is, for now, the largest single terror act in America since 9/11. This quantitative finding will take into consideration dramatic change in the data released by authorities. However, the most important matter confronting us now is that we must not fail to properly analyze Hasan's possible motives.

What happened at Ft. Hood is not about being frustrated by America's foreign policy or exacting revenge for racial slurs. Nor is it about simply being a Muslim-American serving in the military or about being a member of any faith. The murders at Ft. Hood are about the radicalization of individuals by an extremist ideology -- jihadism -- which fuels acts of terror. The main question we should be asking is when did Hasan become radicalized and who indoctrinated him? Everything else will fall in place once we have these answers. Moreover, this would allow us to detect other potential terror acts that may be in the making.

The shooting inside a U.S. military installation that led to the murders of many military personnel only leads to more questions. Over the past few years and months since the 9/11 terror attacks law enforcement officials have thwarted similar planned terror attacks. The Fort Dix, N.J. plot -- dismantled in 2006 -- was designed to kill military personnel inside the base. Other terror cells have also been dismantled. Cells discovered in Georgia, New York and North Carolina also had plans for attacking military installations on U.S. soil. But more importantly a number of "lone wolves" have also expressed their intentions to attack military personnel.

This year, a person by the name Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, 23, shot two members of the U.S. military at the Army-Navy Career Center in a shopping center in West Little Rock, Arkansas. One of them was killed. In cyberspace jihadi threats against U.S. military serving in the homeland and against American cities has been ongoing. Information collected by authorities, including from suspects and indicted individuals has shown a pattern by the jihadists (militants or propagandists) indicating their intentions to strike at military and security installations.

The incident at Fort Hood, whatever is the personal motive, falls into the category of the demonization of the U.S. and its military. What does that mean? It says that whatever the causes of Hasan's individual aggression, the latter was legitimized by the perception that America is the "enemy." An investigation will soon show if Hasan's motives are strictly personal, ideological or a hybrid blend of motives. It's also important that the investigation into Hasan's motives be made available as quickly as possible to the public. According to retired Col. Terry Lee, who was interviewed by Fox News and who knew Major Malik Nadal Hasan, the suspect made several statements indicating his ideological beliefs such as: “The killing of the soldier in Arkansas and any attack against the U.S. military inside the homeland is legitimate because of American military involvement in the Middle East.” Terry detailed remarks made by the accused killer “against U.S. policy and in support of potential suicide attacks inside the country.” Of course, these statements and those reported by others need to be analyzed and verified.

While we wait for the results of these investigations and experts weighing on the historical context of the suspect's possible motives as well as the specific circumstances of engagement between the jihadist propaganda and the United States during the past eight years along with this type of an alleged attack by an individual on the military, we're still left, at this point, with the the following prediction. Hasan's ideology was part of what led him to alledgedly commit murder at Ft. Hood. Of course, psychological factors must also be given serious consideration but the ideological component, the legitimacy of attacking the U.S. military as perpetrated by some jihadi groups also has to be investigated.

Although I would place this attack within the wider context of the evolution of what terror analysts call homegrown radicalization it's still early. Of course, we need to wait for the information that will come from investigators. We may find that the legal side doesn't jibe with the psychological experts. In the meantime, if we do find that the suspect was motivated, at least in part, by ideology the attack on Ft. Hood must be recognized as the single largest terror attack on America (regardless of its homegrown origin or not, or the psychological reason or not) since 9/11.

In that case, what the world has witnessed this week in Texas cannot be described just as “a horrific outburst of violence” directed at the American military, Instead it is part of a wider ideological war, generated by radicalization and inciting individuals to perform such acts. "Lone wolf" or not, organized or not, fully self-aware perpetrator or not, influenced by overseas radicals or not, this massacre of servicemen has moved America from stage to another. from FOX

Fort Hood: A Terrorist Attack

Like most of you I was shocked as the news came in yesterday afternoon at first we heard there were three shooter then two and now finally one, they the shooter was killed and now we find out he is alive. Malik Nadal Hasan, son of Jordanian born Muslims is a major in the army medical corp. As these reports rolled in yesterday it became clear to me that most networks were clearly restraining themselves and carefully not calling this what it clearly is a terrorist act. I have no problem in calling it that, and no I'm not jumping the gun. This man, knew exactly what he was doing and his goal was to kill as many American soldiers as he could and he accomplished his goal. The death toll is now 13 and may rise.

We will now have a trial, so look out OJ your trial will pale next to this one. It is not good that Malik Nadal Hasan lived, but we are now stuck with that and if I were a betting man I would say that the White House today is dreading the thought of putting this guy on trial. This terrorist will face an American jury and will meet his fate, but not before the spectacle is played out and his defense attorneys tell us what a fine fellow he is and all of the good deeds he has accomplished and how misunderstood he is, and finally what great service he has rendered to his country. Obama and the nation will be reminded daily that Malik Nadal Hasan is a Muslim who betrayed his country, who betrayed his uniform, and who killed his fellow soldiers for Allah and for his personal jihad. I don't want to hear anyone say this was not an act of terrorism, for clearly it was and please have no doubt of that. The White House, the MSM will try to make this a criminal act, the act of a mad man and not the work of an individual terrorist. We must not fall into this trap. So strap yourself in and get ready, for when the trial begins it will be a wild ride.

Iran Sees Obama As Another Jimmy Carter

The world watches American presidents and our enemies are quick to see weakness and will always take advantage of any perceived opening a weak president presents. There is no better example than Iran. Under the Carter administration the Shah of Iran (a moderate who had recognized Israel) was forced to allow the Ayatollah Khomeini to return from exile. This return of Khomeini to Iran was the spark needed to begin the Iranian Revolution and the establishment of a Islamic state with Khomeini as its leader. Shortly after Khomeini's rise to power we had the take over of the American embassy by Islamic radicals on Nov. 4, 1979. A weak American president did nothing and the Soviet Union seeing his weakness invaded Afghanistan some two months after the embassy take over. The hostage crisis continued until the first day of the Reagan administration Jan. 20, 1981. Carter was an utter failure with his foreign and domestic policies and the world was watching. And now we come to Obama who is following in the steps of a failed American president and repeating the same mistakes and the Iranians know this and are taking full advantage of this fool we have in office. But possibly even worse is that other enemies are watching and preparing something unexpected, as was the Soviet attack on Afghanistan, something that will come as a result of the new President Carter who is better known as Barack Hussein Obama. Another weakling who is inviting the bullies of the world to try us.

In the three decades since the seizure of the U.S. embassy in Tehran, the rhetoric of revolutionary Islam is little changed. Only now they are building nuclear weapons and the means of delivering them.

Thirty years ago today, November 4, 1979, a group of Iranian “students” shouting “death to America” stormed the U.S. Embassy in Teheran, Iran and took 66 Americans hostage. Though fourteen of the hostages were soon freed, the remaining 52 were held for 444 days. For the American people, it was our introduction to militant Islam. For the Carter administration, intent on “engaging” the regime that replaced Shah Reza Pahlavi, it was a disaster.

The embassy seizure took place just nine months after Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini returned from exile in France and declared himself “Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.” Though some of those who participated in the takeover subsequently claimed they planned nothing more than a “sit in” like those on U.S. college campuses during anti-Vietnam War protests, the Ayatollah’s most radical followers were soon in control of events.

On Christmas day, less than 2 months after the hostages were seized in Tehran, the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan. President Carter, wracked by intelligence failures and indecision, said he was “shocked and surprised” and boycotted the Olympics.

Over the course of the next year, while the Carter administration dithered, Khomeini and his council of militant clerics created all of the instruments of state control common to revolutionary regimes, but with an Islamic twist. He purged the military and the Iranian civil service, created a massive internal secret police network, a “block warden” system to spy on neighbors, took control of print and broadcast media, rounded up opponents and tried them in “special courts” under Sharia law.

By the spring of 1980, when President Carter ordered our deeply under-funded U.S. military to rescue the hostages held in Tehran, Khomeini was convinced that he was on a divine mission to “purify Islam” and re-establish a “Caliphate” in the “Lands of the Prophet.” When Operation Eagle Claw failed catastrophically on the night of April 24-25 with the loss of 8 American lives – and without the Iranians firing a shot – the Ayatollah claimed it was because Allah was guarding “The Islamic State” and protecting it “from infidels.” He also began predicting an apocalyptic battle against the U.S. and Israel which would destroy “The Great Satan,” and “the Zionist entity.”

Though the hostages were released on January 20, 1981 -- on the eve of Ronald Reagan’s inaugural -- Tehran’s wave of terror didn’t stop. By 1982, despite being engaged in a bloody war with Iraq, the Ayatollah’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had created a proxy force in Lebanon – Hezbollah. Over the course of the next five years Hezbollah terrorists armed, trained and paid for by Tehran hijacked, kidnapped, bombed and killed more Americans than any terror organization on the planet until the attacks of 9/11/01. read more from FOX by Oliver North

Elections 2009: Beginning of the End

This could very well be the Beginning-of-the-End of what will still be a long three more years of the Obama nightmare. The results are final in VA and NJ and those two states are now in the Republican column with the results in upstate NY still in doubt at this time. The spin by both sides will begin in earnest tomorrow, but tonight one can safely say that something has changed and that many Americans are sick of the way the nation is heading and are ready for a real change. Change not toward some radical form of a big spending government but a change toward smaller government and more fiscal responsibility. These elections today are but a tiny, a first step toward sanity and a step back from the insanity of Barack Obama. This is America and we Americans don't want government handouts, we don't want government telling us what we can and cannot do, we don't want big brother watching every move we make and most of all we don't want Obama's radical agenda imposed on us and our children. In my view, tonight Americans said no to the progressives and set a path back toward national sanity. This is the beginning of the end.

Election Fraud Today?

Recently we have heard about the fraudulent election in Afghanistan and many Americans don't understand that corruption. This is funny in that most Americans think we have a fair system in our country when nothing could be farther from the truth. All attempts to insure some form of voter identification have met with resistance mainly from those in the Democratic Party and few states have adequate safeguards. Even our backward neighbor to the south, Mexico, has a better system of voter ID. There one must show a photo ID and is given the purple thumb after voting, nothing like that exist in this country. What is most disturbing about our system is the total corruption that exist in most of our major cities, with the big city political machines completely being controlled by one party(the Democratic Party). In those city precincts there is little checking that can be done by the opposition party and the abuse and fraud in those areas appears to be rampant. It is always quite amazing that the pluralities coming out of these areas is so overwhelmingly Democratic. The numbers are astounding. Some states have attempted to investigate, but all efforts have been rejected by Democrats who often control the judiciary and state legislatures in those blue states. It seems for now we are stuck with a corrupt system that we can do little about. If today's election in NJ turns out to be a close one, and votes are needed to put the Democratic incumbent over the top you can count on many votes showing up late from the large metropolitan areas of Newark and Jersey City. This is the way it always done, this is American political corruption at it's best, this is the Democratic big city political machine which will always find votes when they are needed ---in car trunks, in warehouse and of course under the table. You can rest assured that the ballot boxes in Newark are already half full before the polls open today and if the election is close and these fraudulent votes are not enough more will be found.

RINO's To Be Placed On The Endangered Species List

In view of recent attacks attempts are being made by certain left leaning groups to place RINO's on the endangered species list. Those showing the most concern for the welfare of these beasts are certain members of the RNC and such other groups as PETA, ACLU, MoveOn.org, DNC, NEA, NAACP, UAW, Southern Poverty Law Center, Urban League, DHS, ACORN and many others. The white RINO being the most threatened is placed high on the list of these afore mentioned groups while the black RINO finds few in his corner save a few members of the RNC. The reason for this disparity remains some what unclear. Everywhere the RINO's are running for cover with many seeking to hide their identities, however these large unattractive creatures can find little cover from the hunters bearing down on them. Moves are now underway by conservative groups to extend the hunting season on these brutes---a season that normally is open for only one day a year in November is now turning into a year round "open season". While the fate of the RINO remains in doubt it is becoming increasingly clear that their numbers are dwindling as the walls of the American voter fill with the trophy RINO!

Political Earthquake

The Democrats and Obama are facing what could turn out to be a political earthquake this next Tuesday as voter go to the polls in VA, PA and NY. The outcome of these three elections could very well mean an end to much of Obama's planned agenda such as Obamacare, card check and cap and trade. Although the demos have a large majorities in both the House and Senate those moderates in the Democratic Party could be swayed by the outcome of these three elections and might run for cover knowing they are up for re-election in 2010. There is some history of this in that the last time the VA and PA governorships were won by the Republicans was in 1993 shortly before the Gingrich revolution in 1994. History at times does repeat itself. We should all watch the returns Tuesday night and do whatever we can before then to help the two republican candidates in VA and PA and the independent candidate in upstate New York .

President Obama, Prepare for a Political Earthquake

The elections on November 3 are shaping up to be a real Paul Revere moment across America.

The latest Rasmussen poll shows Chris Christie, the Republican nominee for Governor in New Jersey, beating the incumbent Democrat John Corzine by 4 points, even with a third party conservative in the race drawing over 10 percent of the vote.

In Virginia, Republican gubernatorial nominee Bob McDonnell is so far ahead of his Democratic rival Creigh Deeds that Democrats have already begun to argue on the front page of The Washington Post who is at fault for blowing that race. Overlooked in all coverage of the race for governor is that conservative Ken Cuccinelli, long a stalwart leader for both taxpayers and social conservatives in Virginia, is heading for an even bigger win for Attorney General. With the Virginia governor constitutionally limited to one term in the state, and the Attorney General’s office an historic launching pad for gubernatorial runs, the developing Cuccinelli landslide has more immediate political significance than it would in other states.

In a three-way special congressional election in the 23rd District in New York, a poll on Tuesday showed the Conservative Party nominee Doug Hoffman beating both the Democratic Party candidate and the liberal Republican in that race, with a 5 point lead, up from a four point lead in poll released on Monday.

Ballot initiatives in two liberal states this November will also have national implications. Liberal Maine is considering a measure that would adopt Colorado’s Taxpayer Bill of Rights (TABOR) for that state. The measure would limit state spending growth to the rate of population growth plus inflation. Tax revenues growing faster than that would be rebated back to taxpayers. State officials could seek a referendum to increase taxes beyond the limit if that was thought necessary.
Last fall, Barack Obama beat John McCain in a 17 point landslide in Maine. But a recent poll showed the TABOR tax limit winning by a 14 point margin. The same TABOR tax limit will also be on the ballot in November in liberal Washington state, where Obama also won a 17 point landslide last fall. The latest poll there showed TABOR winning by a 30 point margin, 61% to 31%.

If all these trends hold true on Election Day, the result will be a political earthquake dramatically upsetting the balance of power in Washington. -- If that happens, here's what will come next: Expect moderate Democrats in Congress to bolt off the reservation, running from the ultra-liberal Obama agenda on taxes, the budget, cap-and-trade, card check, even the health care overhaul scheme. Then, Obama’s domination over Congress will crumble and alternative conservative ideas will gain momentum.

What's even more significant about Tuesday's elections is that stage will have been set for an even bigger political earthquake in 2010. Republicans will be in much better shape to recruit good candidates and raise more money. Further adverse results for President Obama’s foreign and domestic policies could produce an even bigger Republican landslide than in 1994.

Conservatives, tea party activists, taxpayers, small businessmen and others need to pay attention to the growing importance of next week’s elections. I urge everyone to get out to vote in these races. Get your like minded friends, relatives and neighbors out to vote as well. Volunteer to help. Maybe you can even provide last minute campaign contributions. Maybe you can engage in fundraising or organize additional volunteers.

This is a real Paul Revere moment. As Brutus said in Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar": "There is a tide in the affairs of men, which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune; omitted, all the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and in miseries."

The Great TOTUS Monument

Inside sources at the White House have now confirmed that plans have been drawn up for the construction of a new monument in the nations capital. Although, the plans are somewhat sketchy, at this time some details have emerged. Funds for the new structure will come from items hidden in the new budget proposal under the Department of the Interior (cost is rumored to be an astounding 400 billion dollars). The new structure will reach a towering 1110 ft. and 10 2/8 inches high, thereby doubling the height of the Washington Monument which reaches a height of 555 ft and 5 1/8 inches. Studies to change existing laws governing the height of structures in the nations capital are now being undertaken in secret committee meetings in both the House and Senate. It has also been learned that some White House staffers have been sent to Brazil and have approached the chairman of the DNPM, Department of Mineral Production about the purchase of the worlds largest quartz crystal now housed at the Museum of Earth Sciences in Rio de Janiero. This amazing crystal weights a unbelievable 90,000 pounds (the need for this enormous crystal in the construction of the monument remains unclear, at this time). In addition our sources have learned that contacts have been made with Tiomin Resource Inc.--a multi-national company with large holdings in Kenya. Orders have already been placed with their mines at Mambrui, Kilifi and Kwale on the eastern Kenyan coast; for vast quantities of titanium that will be needed in this monument.

Obama at Dover Air Force Base: Empathy or Political Ploy?

I'll let you make this call. I can't say what Obama's motive was for his recent trip to Dover Air Force Base to witness the return of fallen American soldiers coming home from Afghanistan. I can only hope that his motives were pure and not part of some dark ploy leading up to the decision to send more troops to Afghanistan. For years the left has used Dover and the returning bodies of U.S. servicemen as a weapon in the debates surrounding the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. One can only hope that this is not the case now. It is good that the commander-in-chief made the trip to Dover, but if his motives were less than honorable and driven by some dark political agenda well that is disgusting. The truth here is that we will never know the truth, so I must take things on there face value even though I have lingering doubts about this man. I hope the "Dover Football" is not in play again!


As his decision on Afghanistan war strategy nears, President Obama made a surprise trip to Dover Air Force Base Wednesday night into Thursday morning to attend the dignified transfer movement of 18 U.S. personnel who were killed in Afghanistan on Monday.

The dignified transfer is a solemn movement that is conducted for every US military member that dies while in service in a theater of war.

The 18 killed included service members and Drug Enforcement Agency agents.

The traveling press corps that accompanied the President to Dover was permitted to witness one of the transfers, per the wishes of the families.

The President stood at attention with the six –person carry team near the ramp of the C-17 which carried the flag draped transfer case which held the body of Sgt. Dale R. Griffin of Terre Haute, Indiana. As the carry team brought the case down the ramp, the President and the official party saluted.

Sgt. Griffin’s family members were also present.

The President was accompanied by Attorney General Eric Holder, Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz, DEA Acting Administrator Michele Leonhart, U.S. Army Assistant Judge Advocate Maj Gen Daniel Wright, U.S. Army Special Forces Commander Brig. Gen. Michael Repass, and Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations Center Col. Robert Edmondson, who will served as the Dignified Transfer Host Officer.

Fifty-five Americans have died in Afghanistan this month, making it the deadliest month of the war since it began eight years ago. Two hundred and seventy-seven Ameriacns have died this year, forty-three percent more than last year. News story from FOX News

Eco-Nuts Out To Destroy Life As We Know It

It isn't even Halloween yet and the weirdo's are out in force calling for an end to many things most feel are a part of modern life. They would roll back the clock to 1900 and do away with the car, the modern light bulb, the big screen TV(and later TV altogether), the plastic bag(which just a few years ago they favored to save the forest from being destroyed by using paper bags), the beloved family dog and cat, and yes even the steak you eat. These eco-nuts see humans as the greatest threat to the planet they pretend to love and if the truth was know they would do away with mankind to save the planet for whatever groups of animals they consider to be eco-friends. That of course would leave out all large animals such as Rhinos(not a bad idea, but I would change the spelling), horses, cows, camels, pigs, donkeys,etc. The list would go on and on and eventually include the large fish in the ocean. These people are of course the lunatic fringe, sadly however many on the left have adopted some of these seemingly crazy ideas. Efforts are already underway in CA to ban big screen TV's, the traditional light bulb is in the process of being replaced by a mercury filled bulb, plastic bags are out-lawed in many areas, some schools now have meat free days, governments already limit family size in some countries, and these are but the first steps to drastically change our lives to conform to what eco-nuts believe is a life style necessary to save the planet from global warming and rising sea levels. Maybe, just maybe if they would stop and think about their goal of saving the planet they would just let us continue down the fatal path they think we are on and this in the end would save the planet when we all drown in the rising waters of the great oceans.


While Al Qaeda and eco-nuts use different tactics, they share a similar enemy: civilization.

Around the globe on Saturday environmental protesters tried “a synchronized burst of more than 4,300 demonstrations, from the Himalayas to the Great Barrier Reef,” according to The New York Times.

The sweeping October 24 protest was to bully developed nations like the United States into a climate change agreement when they meet in Copenhagen this December.

The 350.org protesters, who want to drop CO2 in the atmosphere to that level, were especially critical of the United States:

“You have destroyed nature with your industrial waste and gases more than any other nation in history. Despite this, you refuse to sign the Kyoto agreement so that you can secure the profit of your greedy companies and industries.”

Oops, that’s wasn’t the eco-nuts, that’s a direct quote from Usama bin Laden in 2002. --While Al Qaeda and eco-nuts use different tactics, they share a similar enemy: civilization.

At least Al Qaeda is clear about what it wants -- an end to Western civilization and establishment of global Shariah law -- the Islamic version of cave men times with better architecture.

The eco-nuts have a patchwork of things they hate and want banned or destroyed. The week of the 350 protests, The Times wrote glowingly about the Swedes are now including carbon footprint labeling on all food. The Times’ Elisabeth Rosenthal was quick to point out “changing one’s diet can be as effective in reducing emissions of climate-changing gases as changing the car one drives or doing away with the clothes dryer, scientific experts say.” I love it when people who have a huge subway system at their disposal bemoan the automobile.

The new labeling guidelines were a predictable attempt to manipulate what people eat. “[T]hey are advised to substitute beans or chicken for red meat,” the October 22 article proclaimed. The left hasn’t bestowed human rights on beans…yet.

Two days later, London’s Daily Express complained that Fido was a global threat as well. “A medium-sized dog has the same carbon impact as a Toyota Land Cruiser driven 6,000 miles a year, a new book claims,” wrote the paper. It went on to blast pets -- from cats to hamsters -- because they use energy. Now I guess lefties can blame previous warming cycles on buffalo (or their SUVs). read more from FOX

Green Energy Cost to Much

Yesterday our Green President visited town in FL containing the largest photvoltaic center in the country. The DeSoto Energy center built at a cost of $150 million dollars would provide power to some 3000 homes. For those of you who are not too good with math that's comes out to a cost of $50,000 per home. Or to put it another way figuring a annual cost of $2,000 per home per year it would take 25 years to pay for it. This does NOT figure in the yearly cost of maintenance and general operating cost. This plant in NOT a benefit to the home owners in the area, but only a benefit to those special interest who constructed the plant and those companies such as GE and other Obama supporters whose companies manufacture items needed in the future construction of such plants. Consumers can only afford the electricity provided by such plants if the government subsidizes that cost. This would mean that all tax-payers would bear the cost of such projects even though they do not use the green power. Green power only means one thing more green out of your pocket to pay for these pie-in-the-sky projects. A fool can see the folly of this, but those special interest who have the ear of "Mr Green" have this country headed down the road to economic destruction while they line their pockets with tax-payers money. It's no longer the greed of wall street we need to worry about, but the new "Greedy Greens" and their goofy government friends.



The President visited DeSoto Next Generation Solar Energy center, billed as the largest solar photovoltaic center in the country. The company's 90,500 solar panels are able to generate about 42,000 megawatt hours each year, but the project cost $150 million to build and only provides power to 3000 homes, prompting critics to say the administration doesn't have an overall energy strategy.

In remarks after a tour of the plant, the President blasted his opponents on energy reform, saying, "The closer we get to this new energy future, the harder the opposition's going to fight. The more we're going to hear from special interests and lobbyists in Washington whose interests are contrary to the interests of the American people, " Obama said. "There are those who are also going to suggest that moving toward a clean energy future is going to somehow harm the economy or lead to fewer jobs. And they're going to argue that we should do nothing, stand pat, do less or delay action yet again. I just want to point out, we've heard such arguments before. We've engaged in this same type of debate a lot of times through our history. People don't like change, and they get nervous about it."

But, Washington Representative Doc Hastings, the Ranking Member on the House Natural Resources committee said it's not nerves that are causing pause on Capitol Hill. It's the plan itself, and the taxes it will impose on Americans that are the real problem. “Another day, another empty promise from the President to support ‘comprehensive’ energy development," Hastings said in a statement to Fox News. " Instead of producing all-of-the-above American energy, the President’s job-killing cap and trade bill simply produces more taxes on all Americans’ energy. Republicans have a better plan that will create jobs and reduce our dependence on foreign oil by developing a wide range of American energy sources from solar to natural gas.” read more from FOX News

Old, Old Stories

My early years on the farm

While trying to sleep last night I began to recall memories from my early teen years at my grandfather and grandmother's farm where I spent many a happy day in my youth. Of course I heard them tell numerous stories, but only a few have stayed with me over the years. I have often heard that so long as a person is remembered they are not truly dead. I know when I pass on these old stories will pass with me so thought I would share a few. I've condensed them so they are very short:


The Ball of Fire
In the early 1950's when there began to be a lot of talk about UFO's I remember asking my grandmother had she ever seen one and to my surprise, she stated she had and went on to explain that as a young girl she and some friends saw something on night while returning from a dance. You must keep in mind this would have had to been around 1915. Anyway on the return home a distance of about 5 miles (nothing by today's standards), but a trip of several hours by horse and buggy then, the young couples were followed by what she described as a ball of fire. She said every time they stopped to look at the low hanging flaming object in the sky it would stop and when they continued it would move after them. This lasted until they reached home and then the object vanished. I would add, that I never, never knew my grandparents to lie. Seems like old folks just didn't lie like people these day do.
The Old Faithful Dog
While sitting on the front porch late one afternoon, I know it was late because that's the only time we set on the porch, my grandmother told be a very sad tale about a family she knew in her youth. Seems all the family would go to the fields to work from the early spring until the fall of the year. On this particular day they left the small baby on the back porch with the old faithful and trusted family dog(some type of bulldog) while they all went to the fields to work. After several hours the dog unexpectedly came running to the field with blood all over his mouth and other parts of this body. The family immediately thinking the dog had killed the baby---shot the poor animal and ran back to the house finding the small child safe in its crib and lying along side the crib a large dead and badly mangled rattlesnake. I think I saw a tear in the old lady's eye as she finished the story.
The Sea Monster
I don't remember how the subject of sea monsters came up, but grandfather related the story of the sea monster he once saw. As a young adult he lived near the town of McComb, MS. McComb was a small town located on the route of the Illinois Central Railroad that ran from Chicago in the north to New Orleans in the south. He said one day while in town he noticed a large crowd gathered at the train station and went over to see what all the fuss was about. And there he saw it, a great sea monster. The creature was so large that it took two flat cars to hold it. Well he said, the flat cars contained only a part of the great creature, he never knew where the rest was. I said, granddaddy, what part of the monster was on the flat cars--it's head, the old man smiled as he puffed his pipe and said, it's dick. He always referred to that part of a males anatomy as "Dick".
The Skinning
Another afternoon while grandfather and I sat alone on the old front porch he related a story which was unexpected and out of character. I don't recall how the subject came up, I must have been about 14 or so at the time. Anyway, he said as a young teenager his father rode up to the house one night and told him to get on the horse behind him (keep in mind this would have been around 1910-1915. They then rode to a secluded wooded area where a crowd of men had gathered with their torches to light the night. And there in the dim light he could see a black man tied to a tree. What he said next shocked me. He said, the men began to skin the black man alive. I recall asking, grandfather what did that man do? He reply was short and to the point, "he raped and killed a white woman and her child". Nothing else was said and I knew not to ask any more questions. I never knew if great grandfather was a part of that mob, or just a spectator, but I have learned over the years not to judge past events using today's standards---only fools do that. Grandfather was a good and honest man, but in many ways a very practical man. I'll always cherish the memories of him with that old pipe and sitting in his lap as a very young boy on Saturday night listening to the Grand Ole Opry on that big old battery powered radio, before we had electricity at the old farm.

The World Sees A Weak President

Below is a list of Obama's failures on the world stage this past week. Remember, the Obama who stood before hundreds of thousand of screaming Germans last year and promised a better world, the Obama who on all this trips abroad apologized again and again for all the past wrong of the United States(many of which were only in his mind and the minds of his radical friends), while seldom mentioning all the good works of the U.S. over the many years. All of this, many thought would bring the world to our door and make America once more the envy of the world. Bull crap, none of this happened. As a matter of fact the reverse is occurring and the world sees America as the bully sees the weakling on the beach and is kicking sand in our face. The world may not like a strong American president who asserts American power, but it is certainly no friend of a weak president who goes hat in hand.

The score last week was distressing. America got its butt kicked all over the globe.

The French said no more soldiers for Afghanistan.

The Brits will send only a measly 500.

Pakistan is exploding.

The UN Human Rights Council approved its outrageous report of the Gaza war, accusing Israel of war crimes.

The Russians, after jerking us around on sanctions against Iran, said nyet.

The Chinese didn't bother to jerk us around, saying no without hesitation.

We have only ourselves to blame for much of this mess. President Obama is dithering on our commitment to Afghanistan, we didn't try very hard to protect Israel's right of self-defense at the UN, and our position on Iran remains maddeningly muddled.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton added to the confusion in an interview with ABC News. After saying, "We remain committed to preventing Iran from becoming a nuclear weapons power," she said sanctions would signal "a result of the diplomatic track failing. So we are committed to the diplomatic track."

Clinton, who in last year's campaign promised to "obliterate" Iran if it used nuclear weapons, now says she retains "a small space for doubt" that Iran is actually trying to get nukes. Incredible.

Utopia and the Socialist

Last night while channel surfing I can across an old movie made back in the 1930's. Never caught the name, but did watch enough to grasp the theme. It was the old Utopian idea wrapped in the 1930's Hollywood love affair with communism and fascism, something that many today have either forgotten or never knew about. The movie got me to thinking about our present day situation and how it related to socialism, the state and Utopian thinking.

Most men dream of Utopia, their own personal utopia. The socialist also dreams of utopia, his vision of what every man should want. One dreams of a better life for himself and his family, the other plans on how to make HIS dream for others a reality. These two visions , at first glance, sound similar but the difference is staggering. The first sounds self-centered, but actually its the latter that falls into that category. One man, simply wants to live his life and go his own way, the other has what I call the herd mentality and must seek to control the lives of others in the group. And he will continually attempt to get those around him to adopt what his perceives to be "the right way". This puts the first man at a distinct disadvantage in this ongoing struggle. A good analogy would be a tug-a-war between two with one just trying to hold his position while the other attempts to pull him to his side. The outcome would, at first glance, appear to be obvious; however the first man does have one advantage---individual initiative. While those on the other side, for the most part are only the followers of some almost mystic leader.

Socialism, almost seems a victim of these leaders. They invariably pop up during times of economic turmoil and hardship. They present themselves as the ones with the solutions to the complicated problems of the day. And the masses hungry for answers, give these leaders the power to project their ideas, into some form of action. Usually the changes are sweeping and draconian, and enacted with little or no debate and the results at first are pleasing to the common man. But the leaders of these movements, being the Utopians they are, never seem to be satisfied with the changes they have brought about. For they are seeking a world that doesn't exist, except in their own minds. Not being able to bring about the changes they have dreamed of, they will turn to more and more desperate measures and in the end theirs will become a repressive and totalitarian state.

The quest for utopia can be a noble goal. One should, however always keep one thing in mind, "one man's Utopia is another man's hell."

Body of 7 Year old Somer Thompson found in Garbage Dump

The recent murder of a young Florida girl whose body was found in a garbage dump some 40 miles from the crime scene has again generated outrage from many Americans. An outrage that will soon subside with the passage of time and not return until the next ghastly case occurs. This American this father and grandfather is mad as hell at our politically correct news media, our judiciary who often bends over backward to protect the so-called rights of these murdering perverts and our overall society which in many ways is also responsible for such tragedies.

As I read the many articles associated with this case some things began to jump off the page at me. The body was found at a landfill---just a politically correct way of saying "garbage dump"! Why so nice just call the thing a garbage dump, that is after all how they found the body of Somer by following the "garbage dump trucks". Next they are questioning numerous "registered sexual offenders"--what! We knew about these freaks: including some known pedophiles in the area---give me a damn break--pedophile! They are questioning convicted rapist, and other sexual deviants and perverts and child abusers and child rapist. The perverted sick bastard who committed this sick act may never be found, but when he is you can be assured on one thing and only one thing there will be a long line of defense attorneys waiting to defend him in our failing judicial system. He will be read his rights and given three hot meals a day and have access to cable TV and whatever free medical services he needs. And its safe to say the trial will take a year or more before it starts and if convicted it will be years if not decades before a death sentence is carried out, even if one is given. This is what our great judicial system as come to. Its no longer about the law abiding citizen but has become about the criminal and the attorneys. Attorneys have found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow at the expense of the American tax-payer for we pay their bills for appeal after appeal after appeal! And in the end the pervert may walk free from the jailhouse while the families like those of Somer Thompson cry for justice. Cries that will fall on the deaf ears of an uncaring judiciary and the vulture-like lawyers that hoover around our court houses throughout this once great country.

Its time for a revolution! We need to toss out all political correctness, we need to toss out all judges and start will a totally new slate, we need to change all state laws so that justice can be swift and decisive as the Constitution calls for, finally if necessary we need to amend the constitution to help bring about these changes. But let the people, the common man write the new amendments needed and not some pie-faced lawyers. The language needs to be clear and not subject to judicial review---let the words stand as written and not be subject to the whims of some bleeding heart liberal who knows whats best for us all, but can't even find his own asshole.

Praying For Somer Thompson and Her Family Is Not Enough

Let’s use our anger and our sadness at this latest tragedy to do something genuinely positive for our nation. Child protection should be a national effort from the top down and the bottom up.

When we heard the news about Somer Thompson's body being found in a Georgia landfill on Thursday, a colleague said that she was going to pray for the child and her family. I responded that I would do the same. But after I said that, I thought there had to be more that all of us could do to protect our children. There’s just been too many of these kinds of horrors in the news and an important innocence –childhood innocence— is at stake.

I believe prayer is helpful for Somer’s family and Somer herself, but I also believe that prayer can give us a necessary “time out” from which to consider what exactly is going on in our world and our communities today. Why the loss of innocence and more important what we can do about it.Bottom line: why can’t kids safely walk to school anymore?

First, we have to ask question, could they ever?

I remember as a kid growing up in Queens in the early 1960s. There was a child killer on the loose. The manhunt captured the city for weeks. After he was caught, life went on for me and my friends, but the first life lesson learned was to be careful who you talk to no matter how nice they appear to be.

So in a way, violent reality threatening children isn’t new. But I think all of us can agree –and the crime statistics back this up— the rate and horrific nature of crimes against children is much worse than when many of us were kids and it’s changing the way childhood is lived for the worse. Even after we heard about that child killer, we were more careful, but our innocence was still intact.

Today we often hear the talking head lawyers speak to the issue of the rights of the accused with little consideration to the rights of the victim(s). As a research trained psychologist, I understand their argument, but also understand that if a killer was a one-time child molester, the probability that they will engage in that behavior again is greater than 68 per cent.

So first we have to agree that the danger is out there and ask what we can do to protect the potential victims.

For starters, a blue-ribbon commission of behavioral scientists and criminologists should be established to study this abhorrent behavior and recommendations made on how best to protect our children from these type of crimes. The science needs to drive this one. If there really can’t be a “cure” to this behavior then we have to face the fact that our criminal justice system must make new provisions to accommodate the psychological reality of these perpetrators.

But more important, child protection should be a national effort from the top down and the bottom up.

Surely in these divided times, we can still come together as a nation to protect our children and build stronger communities. What better way than for communities to organize child-protection efforts and our community-organizer-in-Chief to make an America where kids can safely walk to school again a presidential priority? Let’s use our anger and our sadness at this latest tragedy to do something genuinely positive for our nation.

Even after we’ve made serious inroads against this problem, we’ll still have to face the fact that the world will never be 100% safe. This doesn’t mean that childhood innocence has to be lost. The second step after making things safer is to actively restore some degree of innocence to our children and communities through making innocence a priority. read more....
